Individual Therapy

Interpersonal Relationships/Anxiety/Depression/Loss /Culture/ Sexual Orientation/ Race/ Religion/ Disability

Lets think of these individual sessions as a therapeutic journey where one becomes more self-aware and pursues self-growth during a collaborative process. As we can be faced with various barriers that affect emotional and mental health well being, therapy is a resourceful way of confronting these. Barriers can be depression, anxiety, relationship problems (with peers or with family), stress, carrier motivations, issues around disability, or issues with sexuality. In this process my clients and I work on interrupting social behavioral sequences that have been negatively affecting my client while highlighting the strengths of the person and the positive contribution of the existing social organization.

While conducting individual sessions, I work with adolescents who find it hard to manage school or home life as well as with adults.

The sessions are organized around a more resource focused approach and they are based on creative collaboration between client and therapist.

Through exploration the client moves from maintaining the vicious cycle of problem behaviours with inappropriate solutions to more functional beahviours that will bring forth resourceful experinences.
